ENG
Mexican cinematographer, graduated from the Department of Image and Sound at the University of Guadalajara. As a Director of Photography, I have worked on various projects including music videos, commercials, and documentaries, with a primary focus on fiction. Notable works include short films like "Winter" (2021), directed by Luis Pacheco and Rafael Ruiz Espejo, nominated for the Ariel Award for Best Fiction Short Film by the AMACC (Mexican Academy). Additionally, "Summer" (2022), premiered in the Official Selection at the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) and received the Special Mention Award.
My work reflects a consistent stylistic exploration that defines my images. I always begin with the concept of each project, delving into and executing delicate proposals that emphasize detail, subtleties, inherent rhythm, and the interplay of light and shadow that capture the essence of characters and their environments. My narrative approach and technical sensibility are crucial contributions to all my projects.
As a director of photography, I have worked on numerous short films, including "Coyotes" (2020) directed by Fernanda Camacho, "The Farewells" (2020), and "You and I" (2024) directed by Néstor Orozco. My debut as a cinematographer in a feature, "The End of the First Times" (2024), produced by Agujero Negro Cine, Yi Hagamos Lumbre, and La Corriente del Golfo, is currently in the distribution stage and is set to premiere this year in theaters and festivals. Furthermore, the documentary feature "Suspended Time" (2024), directed by Chantal Rodríguez, is in an advanced stage of development.
